Emalene Thomas Rogers Peck, 92 of Ringgold, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1930, and raised in Rome, Ga. Emalene graduated from Coosa High School class of 1949 and worked in the delivery room as a nurse after high school. She enjoyed plants, reading, walking, singing, and yodeling. Her most cherished time was spent surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bons Peck; parents, Eunice Elizabeth Payne Rogers and William Harry Rogers; brother, John William “JW” Rogers; sister, Shirley Rogers McGill Goodson; son-in-laws, John I. Finney III, Terry Keith; daughter-in-law, Becky Peck; grandchildren, Isaac Keith and Jason Peck.

She was survived by her children, Phyllis Peck Finney, George Christopher Peck, Nancy Peck Keith; grandchildren, Adam Finney, Ben Finney, Daniel Peck, and Sarah Keith, as well as numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens in Rome, Ga.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pleasant Valley Personal Care, and Ben and Casidy with Hearth Hospice and for their companionate care.
