The School Budget Increase Is A Forever Commitment

  • Thursday, June 8, 2023

I trust each of you fully understands the State law that mandates once a school budget has been approved by the County Commission the budget can never ever be less in the following years.

I have no idea what the school board and Robertson have in their budget to justify such a huge increase, but I do know this is a forever commitment and burden on the taxpayers of Hamilton County.

Please be aware of what passing the proposed budget really means and understand what metrics are being put in place to measure if the students are really benefiting from all the money HCDE is looking to spend.

Please take out any capital money for maintenance or construction and any monies allocated for spending on one time projects.
