Denim & Diamonds Supports Community Health Initiatives With Oct. 21 Fundraiser

  • Tuesday, August 22, 2023
Physicians, community leaders and friends will come together on Saturday, Oct. 21 for the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society and Foundation’s Denim & Diamonds. The event will be held at Chattanooga Whiskey Event Hall. Individual tickets are on sale at ChattMD.org.

This annual fundraiser helps support the Project Access community health partnership, the LifeBridge Physician Wellbeing Initiative, youth educational programs and a wide range of community health initiatives, officials said.

Denim & Diamonds is presented by Henderson Hutcherson & McCullough CPAs.
The evening will feature food, seasonal cocktails and beverages, dancing to a live DJ, a sports lounge with live football on big screen TVs, and a silent auction. Entertainment will be provided by SoundForce.

“Denim & Diamonds is one of Chattanooga’s premier events, and this year will be no exception,” said Rae Bond, Medical Society and Foundation chief executive officer. “We want the community to know how much we appreciate the gifts they share to support our programs to improve community health.”

"Project Access connects uninsured residents of Hamilton County with specialty care, hospital care and other services. It has coordinated $224 million in donated health care services to over 24,000 uninsured individuals since its inception in April 2004," officials said.

“Project Access saves lives,” Mrs. Bond said. “The funds we raise at Denim & Diamonds support this work so that we can continue to help as many people as possible. “Denim & Diamonds also supports our LifeBridge physician well-being program, and provides a safety net of resources for doctors who are at risk of burnout. The program tries to care for our caregivers.”

"Event proceeds also support future doctors through the Foundation’s Future Docs program. It offers opportunities for high school and undergraduate college students to job shadow local physicians and participate in medical vocation education. Some of our graduates now are in medical schools and residencies," officials said.

Denim & Diamonds is open to the public. Table sponsorships are available and individual tickets are $125. To purchase your table or tickets, call the Medical Society at 423-622-2872 or visit chattmd.org. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
