Wayne David Tubbs
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne David Tubbs, 48, of Cleveland, Tennessee. Wayne peacefully departed this world on January 15, 2024, in Cleveland, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on May 13, 1975, in Wellsboro, Pa., Wayne was the cherished son of David Tubbs and the late Joyce Tubbs. Wayne had a passion for sales and excelled as the general sales manager for Integrity Chevrolet for an impressive 17 years.
Wayne was a man of many hobbies and interests. He found solace and joy while fishing in serene waters and enjoyed chasing that perfect swing on the golf course. But above all, Wayne valued his time spent with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will forever live on.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his twin brother Wade Tubbs.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Kimberly Tubbs, whom he adored and shared a love that knew no bounds. He will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving father to his children, Wade Tubbs (Stephanie) and Lauren Colon (Joseph). Wayne's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his father, David Tubbs, sister, Gail Morehouse, and brothers, Steven Tubbs and Tommy Tubbs.
In remembering Wayne's life and celebrating his impact on those around him, a visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Chattanooga location of Companion Funeral Home located at 6018 John Douglass Drive, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421. Following the visitation, a celebration of Wayne's life will commence at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, where family and friends will come together to share their stories and pay their respects.
Final rites will be held on Sunday, Jan. 21, at the Wadley Cemetery in Louisville, Ga., where Wayne will be laid to rest. A brief committal service will be conducted at 1:00 pm at Moxley United Methodist Church before the burial, honoring Wayne's life and his lasting impact on all those who knew him.
