U.S. Army Veteran And Retired From Norfolk Southern After 34 Years

David Arthur “DA” Davis, 81, of Signal Mountain, went home to be with Lord on Monday, September 30, 2024.

He was of the Baptist faith. David served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a pipefitter for Norfolk Southern for 34 years retiring in 2002. David was a family man who read the Bible every day. He loved being “Pappy” and his family and his grandchildren all loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Willene Davis; brothers, William Bill Davis and Samuel Davis; son, Bill Davis and granddaughter, Brandi Cain.

Survivors are his loving wife of 38 years, Brenda Davis; son, Robert David Davis; step-daughters, Angelia Chaviers Rhea (Roger), Tangie Schwartz; grandchildren, Jacob Davis, Kaliegh Davis, Jerry Rhea, Andrew Cross; great-grandchildren, Nickolas Antonucci, Cayden Antonucci, Emma Antonucci, Landyn Rhea, Noah Cain and Max Cain; sister, Ann Sewell along with several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services will be on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Randy Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
