Little Coyote announces the Little Coyote x Food as a Verb Speaker Series, an ongoing farm-to-table speaker series at Little Coyote (Erik & Amanda Niel's newest restaurant in St. Elmo) that will host regional and national guests for thought-provoking ideas and conversation.
The inaugural event will be on Thursday, Nov. 14, featuring Brooks Lamb, the celebrated author of
Love for the Land, which offers a powerful examination of Tennessee farmers and farmland.
Brooks is also the Land Protection and Access Specialist for American Farmland Trust, where he addresses the rising loss of Tennessee Farmland.
Starting at 4:30 p.m., Brooks will mingle and talk with guests, and then at 5 p.m., he will speak to attendees about farmers, ethics, and how to preserve farmland. After the talk, there will be a brief Q&A until the event wraps at 6 p.m. Chef Erik Niel and his team will offer a special menu of cocktails and small bites, created just for the event.
All attendees are welcome to stay for a proper dinner at Little Coyote afterwards.
The Little Coyote + Food as a Verb speaker series is free to the public, but tickets are extremely limited (with only about 24 seats) -- the first event has already sold out. The exact schedule of the series is still unfolding, but the goal is to have a speaker every other month, so stay tuned for details about the next event!
