The Chattanooga Mocs made several promotions and responsibility changes in administrative roles this fall. Most of this reorganization came as a result of Deputy A.D. Dr. Jay Blackman’s ascension to Vice Chancellor for Communication and Marketing with the University.
The promoted include Billy Wilson. He is now Assistant A.D. for Equipment and Facilities filling many of the internal roles Dr. Blackman vacated. His oversight includes the also promoted duo of Emma Fullington and Jay Shiltz.
Fullington is now Director of Equipment after her exceptional work as Wilson’s assistant prior to this restructure.
Shiltz is welcome addition moving up from an operations assistant to his current role making a big difference in gameday operations for all home events.
Also promoted is Leah Gill. The MocsVision maven is now Associate A.D. for Digital Media Services. Her area is responsible for production of all home ESPN+ broadcasts as well as building graphic templates for department-wide usage along with video storytelling among their many impacts.
Adding responsibilities include Associate A.D. Ashley Alletto, Associate A.D. Ryan Jones, Associate A.D. Taylor Toner, Executive Asst. A.D. Laura Herron and Deputy A.D. Andrew Horton. Alletto is now oversight of the Mocs Spirit Squads while Jones adds oversight of ticketing.
Tonor takes over as sports administrator of wrestling as Herron tacks on oversight of Athletics Performance to her many tasks. Horton now has digital media services and strategic communication under his umbrellas as well as McKenzie Arena operations, equipment and facilities. He also assists Vice Chancellor Mark Wharton in oversight of the football program.
