Barbara Sligh Wright
Barbara Sligh Wright, 91, passed away on November 14, 2024, surrounded by her family at her home on Signal Mountain, Tennessee.
Born on June 28, 1933, Barbara grew up in the Jonesboro/ Atlanta, Ga. area. She will be remembered as an exceptional wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wright Sr., brother, George Sligh, and sons, Edward Wright, Jr. (Woody) and Steven Wright.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kelly Lee (Chuck Boaz), brothers, Phillip Sligh and Jackie Sligh, sister, Marsha Chambers, and her grandchildren, Alex Lee, Ashley Lee, and Samantha Wright.
Visitation will be held in the Marr Chapel at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the service to follow.
Barbara will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Ed, in a private burial at the Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tunnels to Towers Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
