James Mitchell Qualls
James Mitchell Qualls, 83, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, in a local hospital.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Mitchell was retired owner and operator of Qualls Masonry.
He was a member of Rossville Baptist Tabernacle and was an avid hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Nellie Qualls; daughter, Vicki Qualls; grandchildren, Kailie Bug Harwood, Tessa Diana Qualls, Dewey Gann, and Brandie Nicole Gann; brothers, Wayne and Tommy Qualls; and sister, Francis Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Qualls; children, Angie (Charles) Rogers, Trenton, Tammy Gann, Trenton, Michelle (Odis) Rheal, Jasper, Julie (Ray) Cross, East Ridge, Jimmy (Brenda) Hughes, Ft. Oglethorpe, Ronnie (Debbie) Hughes, Ringgold, Steven (Nicki) Hughes, Ft. Oglethorpe, and Debbie (Tim) Ottinger, Ooltewah; two brothers, Roy Qualls, Cleveland, and Gene (Susan) Qualls, Atlanta; 23 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, at noon in the funeral home chapel with Tim Ottinger and Mitchell Sims officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Josh Hughes, Adam Hughes, Mitchell Sims, Matthew Sims, Brad Ottinger, and Dylan Hughes serving as pallbearers.
