Harold King, 79, of Rossville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 24, 2024.

He was born and raised in Kennesaw, Ga., on Dec. 8, 1944, to parents Carl and Lucile King. Harold later moved to Atlanta, and then made his way to Chattanooga, in 1999.

He was an entrepreneur. Harold began his music ministry in 1950 and retired from traveling in Christian music in 1996/97. He traveled over 30 years performing organ music on stage in Revival/Crusade Ministries across America, Canada and the Caribbean Islands. Words that describe Harold would be loyal, dedicated, dependable, determined, trustworthy, stable and confident. He played Christian Hammond Organ Soul music since the age of 12. Harold was a Christian, a believer in and a follower of Jesus Christ by accepting Him into his heart and life at the age of 5. He was quoted to say that the Lord was his health, wealth, and strength. His main motivator, provider, and protector throughout his entire life. Harold loved and enjoyed his grandchildren, as well.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lucile King; 2 brothers, David and Jesse King.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lola Bowen King; children, Angela Bley and Rodney King; grandchildren, Saryn Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Daniel Webster, and Kailey Smith; one sister, Mary Ruth Crowe (Kirk Wintersteen); several nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.
