Andrew Stewart, 45, passed away on November 24, 2024. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Andrew was born on June 10, 1979, in Dexter, Mo. He grew up in Chattanooga, Tn., and returned to Chattanooga in recent years. He graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Al., and served 20 years at Gestamp in a variety of roles in IT, most recently as a data engineer. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. His colleagues and family regarded him as the smartest person they've ever known.

But more than anything, Andrew was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He loved spending time helping his family with computers and problem solving any problem that arose. He was adored by his four-year old niece, and she will dearly miss their games of hide and seek.

Andrew enjoyed helping his mother garden and taking walks with Teddy, our dog. He was an active member of the Waters Class at First Baptist Church of Chattanooga.

Andrew is survived by his mother, Kathy Stewart, sister, Katie Stewart, brother-in-law, Dennis Mayne, and niece, Josie Mayne. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel at the First Baptist Church of Chattanooga on Monday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m., visitation to follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Benevolent Program at First Baptist Church in Chattanooga or a charity of your choice.
