Held Career In Hospital Financial Management

Park Harry Haussler, 88, passed away peacefully in Chattanooga on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

A native of Dalton, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry and Emma Haussler.

He attended Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pa., and graduated with a BS in business and majored in accounting and was a member of the fraternity, Theta Chi. It was also during this time that he met his future wife, Denece. After their marriage in June 20, 1959, they lived In Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Louisiana, and most recently in Tennessee.

The majority of his career was spent in hospital financial management serving as chief financial officer at several hospitals. Park joined HFMA, the hospital financial management association and enjoyed many years at annual meetings in Boulder, Co., and even a short time as chairman of the board for the 1982-1983 year in Chicago.

His wife Denece preceded Park in death.

Survivors include his four children, Hope Neal (Terry), Park Haussler Jr., Heather Leyland (Jeff), and Peme Landfare (David); and grandchildren, Blair Patterson (Jacob), Faith and Peyton Leyland, Rebecca and Ean Landfare; and great-granddaughter, Ember Patterson.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, in the chapel of Hamilton Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
