David Aaron Crownover, 94, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024.

David was born in Wilder, Tn., on Oct. 22, 1930, the son of the late James Crownover and Edna Madewell Crownover. He graduated from Cumberland County High School in Crossville, Tn. After which he served 27 years in the United States Air Force, obtaining Grade Senior Master Sergeant. David served in the Korean War and two tours in Vietnam and twice awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He retired from the United States Postal Service.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Ellene Ohnemus Crownover; a son, Neil Jay Crownover; a granddaughter, Corie Crownover; brothers, Paul, Donald, Robert, and Kelly Crownover; and two sisters, Mildred Jackson and Faye Rodgers.

Survivors include a daughter, Terry Parsons (Rodger); son, Jamie Crownover (Kay); four grandchildren, Casey, Tyler, Aaron, and Kyle Crownover; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Sam and Roy Crownover.

A private graveside service will be held.
