Leonard Hall
Leonard Hall, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Chattanooga Hospice Center.
A lifelong resident of Signal Mountain, he attended Signal Mountain Jr. High School and made the first basketball shot in the new gym. He was extremely popular in junior high and was crowned king at the Valentine Dance. At Red Bank High School, he played basketball and was on the track team. He won all-state in the track division and was tagged as the fastest man in Tennessee. Leonard had a love for his country, having served in the National Guard for over 20 years. He enjoyed gardening, old cars and especially playing baseball. He had a deep love for his family and in later years, he coached his daughters in softball and his son in soccer. He coached the ladies softball team of Mount Carmel Baptist Church where he was a member for over 65 years. Leonard’s grandfather played baseball for the Atlanta Krackers in the 1920s.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Geraldine Hall.
Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 57 years, Ann Hall; daughters, Kathy Hawkins (Jeff) and Angie Hall (Ramey); son, Jimmy Hall; grandsons, Andrew (Caleb), Devin and Matthew; sister, Linda Black; brothers, Garry Hall, Clifford Hall and Don Hall; and special friends: Wayne Young, John Day, Tommy Sullivan, Joe Breedlove and Dan Quarles.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation.
A graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
