Alvin Roy Reed, age 48 of Signal Mountain, Tn. passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18, 2024.

Roy was a former volunteer fire fighter with Signal Mountain and Waldens Ridge Fire Departments. He was also formerly employed in park maintenance at Chester Frost Park which was a job that he dearly loved. He was an avid knife maker owning Signal Mountain Knives. In his spare time, he loved to fish, shoot and spend time with his family including his dog Tucker. Roy was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed. He was a big man with a big heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Doris Jean Flippo Reed

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Beth" Watkins Reed; children, Evelyn Gray and Patrick Gray; siblings, Jason Reed, Tina Foster, Brent Havner, Justin (Samantha) Flippo, Herbie (Marcy) Allen and Rebecca Reed; nieces and nephews, Jacob Foster, Brett Munger, Bailey Ricketts, Zach Harvey, Conner Reed and Peyton Reed; several other family members and friends also survive.

Family will receive friends Saturday, Feb. 24, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m at Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
