Chambliss Law Hires Jarrod Casteel And Melani LaMar

Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. had added two new attorneys, Jarrod Casteel and Melani LaMar, who will serve the firm's real estate section.

Officials said, "With a proven background advising real estate clients nationwide, Mr.
Casteel brings a results-focused mindset to enhance the firm's real estate practice further. He specializes in a broad spectrum of matters, such as commercial leasing, acquisition, financing, development and property management. His proficiency extends to collaborating with a diverse clientele, including contractors, architects, property managers, investors, developers, entrepreneurs and growth-focused individuals and businesses. He has successfully led numerous development deals, ranging from small purchases to complex multimillion-dollar transactions throughout his career." 

Mr. Casteel graduated from Lee University, the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies and the University of Tennessee College of Law. In addition, he is the chairman of the Cleveland Land Bank Authority board of directors. Mr. Casteel is licensed to practice in Tennessee.

"LaMar has an extensive background in commercial real estate and a proven track record of managing the life cycle of real estate development projects, including negotiating with lenders, facilitating complex multimillion-dollar loan closings, negotiating deed-in-lieu and foreclosure documents and drafting easements," officials said. "She guides clients through the complexities of commercial real estate, offering comprehensive legal counsel on development projects, resolutions, LLC agreements, property acquisitions, lease agreements and contracts. In addition, she has already shown she is a dedicated advocate for her clients."

Ms. LaMar graduated from the University of Alabama and Samford University Cumberland School of Law. She is licensed in Tennessee and Alabama.

"Jarrod and Melani both hold an impressive track record based on their prior real estate-related work and have already proved in their short time here to be capable of navigating complex real estate deals," said Real Estate Chair Kirby Yost.
