Erlanger Primary Care Adds Drs. Matthew Rose And Zynia Pua

Erlanger announces the addition of board-certified family medicine doctors Matthew Rose, DO and Zynia Pua, MD.

Dr. Matthew Rose is a board-certified family medicine physician with Erlanger Primary Care – Volkswagen Drive. Born and raised just south of Atlanta, Dr. Rose attended Georgia State University for both his undergraduate and graduate education, where he received a master’s degree in cellular and molecular physiology. After a brief stint in laboratory research, Dr. Rose decided to pursue a career in medicine and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Rose completed his family medicine residency training at Erlanger, affiliated with The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine – Chattanooga. His clinical interests include preventative medicine, lifestyle medicine, chronic disease management, acute care, office procedures and LGBTQIA+ medicine. Dr. Zynia Pua has been providing medical care to Chattanooga residents for 13 years. Originally from Chattanooga, she is a Girls Preparatory School graduate. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Chicago and a master of science degree in community health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Following her graduate education, Dr. Pua received her medical degree and completed a family medicine residency at the University of Alabama School of Medicine.

After completing her residency, Dr. Pua became the CEO of All-Care Family Medicine and acted as the solo family practice physician and business owner. She then joined Doctors Med Care of Jacksonville and Rainbow City in Alabama, where she practiced urgent care, treated patients for chronic conditions, and oversaw the nurse practitioners. Dr. Pua moved back to Chattanooga, practicing internal medicine at multiple locations. She will be joining Erlanger Primary Care – Ringgold.
