Aaron Nathaniel Anderson, 53, a devoted father, son, brother, PaPa, partner, and friend, passed away April 16, 2024, at a health care facility in Chattanooga, surrounded by his family.

Aaron was born on April 3, 1971, in Chattanooga, to Nathaniel H. Anderson and Annie G Anderson.

He was a graduate of Tyner High School, class of 1989, where he was a valuable member of the Tyner Rams football team.

He also attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Aaron was baptized at a young age at Warren Chapel AME Church where he served faithfully from childhood.

He served as a mentor for Fathers to the Fatherless and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi.

Aaron knew no strangers and was always willing to give his first and last. He possessed a great personality and everyone that knows him will remember a time he made them laugh and gave his all.

Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel H. Anderson; sister, Angie James.

He leaves cherished memories to his mother, Annie G. Anderson; two daughters, Ja’Sonna (Terin) Richardson and NaJa Anderson; grandchildren, King N. Richardson, Adaysha Richardson, Josiah Richardson, Hezekiah Richardson, and Ameer Richardson; life partner, Rhonda Jones; other family members and friends, Robert Pace, Romond Pace, Patrick Lindsey, April Tatum, and Michelle Savoy.

Public viewing will be held from 2-6 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5-6 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, at the funeral home.

A noon funeral service will be held on Friday, April 26, at Warren Chapel AME Church, at 503 N. Market St. in Chattanooga.

Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
