Doris June Dedmon
Doris June Dedmon, 89, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Doris was born in Ooltewah, on Feb. 10, 1935, the daughter of the late Floyd Grubb and Fanie Mae Owens Grubb. She retired from Big Lots after many years of service. Doris enjoyed crossword puzzles, making Battenberg lace, sewing, and watching the birds. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Dedmon.
Survivors include her seven children, Betty Jean Foster, Constance Tye (Ross), Jay Dedmon (Kathy), Jim Dedmon (Vickie), Debbie Dedmon, Barbara Lawrence, and Michelle Jenkins (Ernest); 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry Grant.
A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, April 6, at noon, Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in McDonald, Tn.
Visitation will be on Saturday, from 11 a.m. until the service hour at Heritage Funeral Home.
