Emma Cagle, 88, of the Fairview Community in Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 16, 2024, surrounded by her family.

She was born on Aug. 8, 1935, in Chattanooga to the late Joe and Mary Worthington. She was of Baptist Faith, retired from Shoney’s after 30 years, and she enjoyed working in her flower garden, her children loved her fried chicken and homemade biscuits, but most of all she cherished time with her family. If you talked with Emma very long, she will always tell you something about her grandchildren.

Anyone who knew Emma loved her, knew she had a big heart always wanting to comfort others, and her wit and loving spirit was truly a gift. She loved God, dearly devoted to her family and she will be in the hearts of her family forever. They were blessed to have her in their lives.

She is survived by her husband Junior Cagle; children, Teresa (Joe) Card; Debbie (Troy) Norris; Ginger (Frank) Seabolt and Jimmy Harper; grandchildren, Troy Lee, Alex, Cody, Jay, Zack, and Whitney; as well as many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Caris Hospice Healthcare for their special care and love.

Condolences may be shared with the Cagle family and live webcasting of the funeral service will be available at www.lane-southcrestchapel.com

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 23, from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3 p.m. with Pastor Mike Angel officiating in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
