Marion M. Fischer Scheiwe, 97, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on Friday, May 24, 2024.

She was born in Mt. Olive, Il., on Oct. 24, 1926, to the late Andrew and Emma Fischer.

She loved flowers, birds, nature, casino slot machines, traveling and spending time with her family. She had visited all 50 states and was very proud that she survived Hurricane Maria and she had her picture with the FEMA officers on the national news, via satellite. She was loved by all who met her and made everyone feel loved and a part of the family.

Heaven has been truly blessed by another angel to watch over all that have been left behind. Mom, we shall miss you in body but your love and spirit will always be with us.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband Norbert Scheiwe (married 8/17/1946) and daughter Nancy (Ralph) Bates.

She is survived by her daughter, Margie (Daryl) Sandweg; son, Thomas (Debbie) Scheiwe; 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no public services.
