Ed Foster, of Hixson, went to be with His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 15, 2024.

Ed was born in Greensboro, N.C. on September 29, 1926. He served in the United States Navy in World War II with pride.

He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church where he was a deacon and taught Sunday school for years. He was a member of the Fellowship Class.

He was with Burlington Industries and then Kayser Roth until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his precious wife of 70 years, Martha Foster, his parents, and 3 sisters.

Ed is survived by his loving daughter, Sandra Foster Lee, Chattanooga; grandsons, Michael (Carey) Lee, The Hague, and Christopher Lee, Chattanooga; great-grandsons, Caleb and Ethan Lee; nieces, Judy Moore, Greensboro, N.C and Donna Ford (Dennis), Greensboro, N.C.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery for anyone who wishes to attend, with Dr. Fred Steelman and Reverend Bill Harvey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Hospice Care Center, Chattanooga; 937 Blackford St., Chattanooga, Tn. 37403.
