Mary Ann Torola Russian, 82, of Ooltewah, Tennessee passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, at her residence.

A native of Minersville, Pennsylvania, she had lived in the Chattanooga area since 1972. Mary Ann was a former employee of Cigna Insurance and a member of the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Chattanooga. Mary Ann loved her family and enjoyed every moment she got to spend with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Amelia Magic Torola.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Surfield Frank Russian; son, Daniel (Gina) Russian; two daughters, Lori (Martin) Gillespie, and Amy (Michael) Tyrrell; brother, Paul (Peggy) Torola; sister, Kathleen (Anthony) Ryan; sister-in-law, Judy (Walter) Brennan; four grandchildren, Nicholas Russian, Amelia Gillespie, Davis Gillespie and Anna Tyrrell; nieces and nephews. Jessalynn Burke, Christopher Ryan, Sean Brennan, Terry Brennan and Shannon Brennan; and all her beloved grandpuppies

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MaryEllen Locher Breast Center, 6401 Mountain View Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363.
