Dr. Catherine Martinez
Erlanger Pulmonology and Critical Care adds Catherine Martinez, MD, to the team at their Erlanger East Hospital location.
Officials said, "An experienced, board-certified pulmonologist, Dr. Martinez has a service record spanning over 20 years of providing quality, evidence-based care in both inpatient and outpatient settings."
Dr. Martinez earned her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Fl., and she completed her residency in internal medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Or.
Dr. Martinez also completed her pulmonary medicine fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University and her critical care medicine fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. She has worked in locum tenens positions as a pulmonary hospital consult and in outpatient pulmonary care and has served the Chattanooga area previously with CHI Memorial Health Partners in outpatient pulmonology, pulmonary function test interpretations, inpatient pulmonology and ICU care.
Dr. Martinez provides outpatient pulmonary care where she helps patients navigate their chronic diseases. She enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them improve their quality of life with chronic disease.
