Thomas William “Bill” Bland
Thomas William “Bill” Bland, 62, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at his home with his family by his side.
Bill lived most of his life in the Rossville area and was of the Baptist faith. Bill was employed with Material Handlers, Inc. as a mechanic for 39 years. Bill loved his family, spending time with his children as they were growing up teaching them life lessons. He loved to work and always had some project going on. Bill enjoyed working on cars and anything that had a motor on it. He was determined that he could get it running again. Bill also enjoyed motorcycles and the company trips to Dollywood each year. Recently, he and his wife enjoyed their time in the Chickamauga Battlefield playing Pokémon. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Brown and Nellie Bland; five brothers, Cleveland Thomas, Sam Brown, Donald Brown, Danny Brown, and Bobby Brown; and sisters, Debbie Brown and Linda Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Nora Bland; three children, Thomas (Kristen) Bland; Brittany Jones; and Samantha Bland; sister, Barbara “Annie” (Dave) Berry; brothers, A.T. Thomas and Jeff (Monica) Brown; four grandchildren, Skylar Bland, Masten Bland, Allie Lewis, and Ainsley Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 15, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel.
Interment will follow in the TN-GA Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
