David E. Henderson
David E. Henderson, 67, from Chattanooga, and raised in East Ridge, died on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
He was a very loving, kind and patient man of God. He was calm by nature and full of wisdom; a true angel on Earth. David was cherished and beloved by all who knew him. He had a keen sense of humor.
He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. David had lots of hobbies and interests to include reading, writing, cooking, golfing, gardening, and dancing.
A natural caregiver, he was a respiratory therapist for 50 years with 23 years in the NICU at Parkridge East Hospital.
David passed peacefully while holding the hand of the love of his life, Judy.
He was preceded in death by his dad George T. Henderson Sr.
He is survived by his mother Dorothy “Muv” Henderson. He is also survived by his wife, Judy, his two sisters Jamie (Ken) Brown, Julie (Bill) Fine, and brother George (Tammy) Henderson. As well as children Jennifer (Jason) Joy, Jordyn (Ricky) Smith, Jamie Henderson, Rachel (Tyler) Johnston, Garrett (Mariel) Bourdon, Jonathan (Gabrielle) Bourdon, and his grandchildren Nate and Luke Joy, Deacon and Tennessee Elyse Smith, and seven nieces.
Funeral services will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home - East: 404 S Moore Rd, East Ridge, Tn. 37412.
Visitation:
Wednesday, July 17, from 4-7 p.m.
Thursday, July 18, from 12-1 p.m.
Service:
Thursday, July 18, beginning at 1 p.m.
Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens - East: 4621 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37411.
