Steven Holmes
Steven Holmes, 72, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024.
Steve was born in Chattanooga, on March 5, 1952, the son of the late Bobby Eston Holmes and Bobbie June Thornburg Holmes. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from UTC and a master’s in administration from MTSU. Steve was a retired teacher, coach, administrator, and a director for Hamilton County Schools. He was a Sunday School teacher and a devout member at Bayside Baptist Church for over 40 years.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Diane Holmes; daughter, Jill Smith (Kevin); son, Brad Holmes (Autumn); and four grandchildren, Madison Holmes, McClain Holmes, Kagan Smith, and Corrina Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, July 12, at 10 a.m. at Bayside Baptist Church with Jason King officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the service hour at Bayside Baptist Church.
