William Ray “Bill” Morgan, local Christian businessman, went to be with His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 10, 2024.

Bill leaves his loving wife, Sandy, after 42 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by a lovely daughter, Robin Rebecca Morgan, and his parents, Russell Rockholt and Elba Catherine Neal Morgan.

Bill was a graduate of Tennessee Temple University. He was a faithful child of God and had a great love for the mission work of Christ. He was passionate about feeding the hungry, helping the poor, and telling others throughout the world about Jesus by supporting countless missionaries to go to distant lands to tell a lost world about Jesus and His saving power. He was also committed to the plight of the Jewish people, and God allowed Bill to help bring 1,100 people out of the former Soviet Union and return them to Israel through the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews during the years of 1987 – 2024. Surely there will be scores of people who will welcome him to Heaven on this great day of Homecoming and say “Thank you for giving to the Lord. I am a life that was changed.”

Rest well dear one. You are in the hands of the loving God that you have served so faithfully and boldly for sixty-five years. Your life verse has remained true to the end. “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5

Funeral services will be held in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14, with Dr. Ernest Groce officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at North Chapel. A private graveside service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to a favorite charity.

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
