A banner year for Chattanooga beach volleyball continues to set new benchmarks for the program, not only on the sand but in the classroom as well, as the Mocs were able to place a program record 13 student-athletes on the 2023-24 Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
After a record-setting year on the courts for the Sandy Mocs, UTC was able to continue to raise the bar as the team shattered its previous program record of OVC Honor Roll honorees in a single season, which previously sat at eight.
Chattanooga beach volleyball ultimately finished tied for first amongst OVC beach volleyball teams for the most players represented on this year’s conference honor roll.
The 13 Mocs that earned their way onto the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll are as follows: Neva Clark, Taylor Clark, McKenna Faychak, Gylian Finch, Grace Frigaard, Paige Gallentine, Kaye Gresham, Maddie Lecik, Madi Morris, Madelina Myers-Osband, Halle Olson, Morgan Romano and Corina Vale.
This release comes three days after a total of five Mocs received Academic Medals of Honor from the OVC for maintaining perfect 4.0 GPAs over the team’s 2023-24 season, also marking a program record for the UTC beach program. Those individuals were Neva Clark, McKenna Faychak, Grace Frigaard, Maddie Lecik and Madelina Myers-Osband.
