Alpha Beta Chapter has provided volunteer and financial support to Wreaths Across Chattanooga for the past several years. During the annual 2024 Kickoff Campaign, the chapter presented a $1,000 donation to Captain Mickey McCamish, USN Retired, director of WAC.

“Wreaths Across Chattanooga wouldn't have achieved its level of success without the involvement of ESA. No matter what the task, Alpha Beta members are always there placing wreaths, fundraising, donating, and performing administrative tasks,” said Capt.
McCamish.

The chapter donation will cover the purchase of 100 wreaths to be laid on the gravestones of veterans buried in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Currently, almost 50,000 veterans are buried in the cemetery.

Officials said, "During the 2023 campaign, donations received from sponsors, businesses, organizations (such as ESA) and individuals helped WAC reach its goal of covering every gravestone – for the first time in its history."

Alpha Beta volunteers will accept donations for the 2024 WAC campaign on the following Saturdays: Sept. 7 at Elder’s Ace Hardware on Hwy. 58; Oct. 5 at Elder’s Ace Hardware in East Brainerd; and Nov. 2 at the Hixson Walmart; or you may make a donation to Wreaths Across Chattanooga at https://www.chattareaveterans.com/wac.
