The Lookouts banged out nine hits on Thursday night including a three hit performance from both Tyler Callihan and Dominic Pitelli. However, it wouldn't be enough as they dropped an extra inning contest to the Tennessee Smokies 4-3 in eleven innings.
Bubba Thompson gave the Lookouts an early lead in the third inning with a two run homerun. The Smokies tied it back up in the sixth inning with a pair of runs off of Donovan Benoit. Top prospect Rhett Lowder took the tough luck no decision after pitching five scoreless innings, allowing only four hits, one walk and five strikeouts.
The Lookouts scored a run in the top of the eleventh but couldn't hold on as the Smokies walked it off in the bottom of the inning. The two teams will be back in action on Friday night with three games remaining in the series.
