Samuel Jefferson Skipper, Jr., 62, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Samuel was born in Chattanooga, on March 28, 1962, the son of Virginia Jones Skipper and the late Samuel Skipper, Sr. He retired from Ortmeier Machinery after many years of service. Samuel enjoyed bird watching, pets, animated cartoons, and most of all loving on his grandchildren. In addition to his father, Samuel was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Valkyrie Graham.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Sylvia Skipper; son, Skip Skipper (Emily); daughter, Chazlyn Graham (Matthew); two step-children, Heather Scott (Matthew) and Brent Ward; grandchildren, Lane Jefferson Skipper, Brooks Skipper, Haddie Skipper, Korbyn Graham, Isabella Graham, Leo Helton, Emma Scott, and Cecilia Ray Ward; brother, John Skipper (Rhonda); and a sister, Sheri Cofer (Mike).

Graveside and interment services will be Friday, Sept. 13, at 1 p.m. in Forest Hills Cemetery.
