The Chattanooga Mocs men’s golf team gets the 2024-25 season started Monday at the Bearcat Invitational. The field tackles Coldstream Country Club in a 2-day, 54-hole event.
The Mocs are defending champions, the second of back-to-back wins to start last campaign. It’s a new year, new team with two starters back.
Seniors Garrett Engle and Braedon Wear look to lead the line. The duo were integral in the back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances with the 2023 model advancing to the finals.
They’re joined by fellow senior Dalton Chuba, sophomore Camden Braidech and freshman Ethan Whitaker.
Whitaker made the squad in a playoff with Carson Johnson after six rounds of the squad’s qualifying school.
