Heritage Day At Marsh House Scheduled For September 21

  • Thursday, September 19, 2024

The September monthly meeting of the Walker County Historical Society will not be on the 4th Sunday. Instead, Heritage Day at the Marsh House on Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will serve as the September meeting.

Come to see the newly repainted house and the new carriage shelter and get an updated tour as well as purchase heritage pastries at the Bake Sale and see some local handcrafts. And don’t miss the expanded gift shop with wooden bowls from 200-year-old trees on the property.

The African American Cultural and Heritage Center across North Main Street will also be open and well worth your time for a visit.
