Carol Ann McCrae Davis, 80, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024.

Mrs. Davis was born July 23, 1944 to the late Charlie McCrae and Mattie Lou Taylor McCrae Cole of Hamlet, North Carolina. She was a graduate of Emery Street School, a United States Army veteran and was honorably discharged, and she retired after 47 years as an office manager for Dr. E. L. Scott, Jr. who was a surgeon. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Davis was preceded by her parents, brother, Donnie McCrae, sisters, Willie Ruth White, and by Mary Elizabeth Parks, nephews, Marvin L. Parks, Bobby “Tyrone” Parks, Lewis M. “Red” Parks, Jr., and niece, Linda White – Gregg.

Survivors are her loving and devoted daughter, Kena Davis of Chattanooga; nephew, Stephen (Sandra) Parks of Fayetteville, Ga.; nieces, Pamela White of Chattanooga, and Donnya Perkins of New York, NY; cousins, Patricia Washington of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, Ethel “Sally” Austin of Dalton; dear friends, Mary Hill Smith, Arnetter Weaver, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside service and interment will be on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. at West Hill Cemetery with Minister Freddie Johnson officiating.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Emery Street Center.
