A Night With Nurture The Next Is Sept. 19

  • Friday, September 6, 2024

Nurture the Next celebrates 40 years of supporting families in Tennessee at "A Night with Nurture the Next." This special event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 19, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at The Common House, at 1517 Mitchell Ave.

With in-home parenting support, education, advocacy, and resources, Nurture the Next aims to ensure every child grows up in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. The event will celebrate the achievements of families, learn about the impact of the organization's work across Tennessee, and invest in future generations.

The night will feature dinner and drinks, a silent auction, a live auction, and live music by special guest, Rick Rushing.

This event is sponsored by Millenium Bank, Card Family Foundation, Omni Family of Services, Husch Blackwell, UNUM, Camelot and Whitney and Robert Johnston. The in-kind sponsors who donated auction items include Common House, Chattanooga Zoo, Tennessee Aquarium, Niedlov’s Bakery, Chattanooga Football Club, Nashville Predators, Chattanooga Lookouts, Agape MedSpa, Southern Soul Yoga, the Barn Nursery, Athens Distributing Company of Tennessee and Dex Imaging.

This year the Chattanooga Hamilton County Family Justice Center will be honored. The Family Justice Center is a collaboration between public and private agencies offering unified services for victims of family violence, sexual assault and elder abuse. They provide a centralized location where families can access various services to ensure their safety and well-being, effectively creating a “one-stop shop” for those seeking assistance.

Miles Huff will emcee the event. With experience spanning the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, Cempa, UNUM, and currently as executive coordinator in Mayor Tim Kelly’s office, Mr. Huff has committed his career to improving life for everyone in Chattanooga. Returning this year as the auctioneer is Victoria Underwood.
