Thomas Edwin Hickman, 76, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 16, 2025.

Tommy was born in Chattanooga and raised in Daisy, Tn. His parents were Paul and Wilma Stuart Hickman. He had three siblings, Ervin Hickman, Joan Hickman McCollum (Ronny) and Dwayne Hickman (Kimberly).

He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother and sister whom he loved very much and missed until his last breath. Tommy's great love in life was his devoted wife of 58 years, Ada Elizabeth Hodges Hickman and his children Bruce Hickman, Brian Hickman and Kimberly Hickman Brown (Jason). He had two grandchildren, Trevor Brown (Kenady) and Tori Brown Etling (Justin). Tommy was blessed to have so many loving family members including his special niece "Missy", Melissa Clayton Shaw and his sister-in-law Diane Hodges Clayton. He had many loving in-laws and nieces and nephews who he adored.

Tommy worked every day to provide for his family and he gave them a very blessed and loving life. Tommy was the owner/operator of Paul's Auto Parts and Hickman's Wrecker Service, which was established by his father, Paul in 1953.

Tommy loved the Lord, his family, running his business with his family, he loved dirt track racing, he loved repairing cars and running the roads in his rollbacks with his son Brian and Tommy loved good old southern food. Tommy was a sweet, honest, loving, kind man who always had a smile on his face, a funny story or joke to tell and a warm hug to give. He loved to help people, and he loved his community. Tommy's love of dirt track racing started very young, with his dad and continued through the years with his family. For 60 years you could find him with his family at one of the local dirt tracks on Friday and Saturday night. He had many drivers through the years until his son Brian turned 14 years old and began a successful driving career with his dad and family at his side. Tommy will be missed by many friends and members of the community of Soddy Daisy and by his many loyal customers.
