Pedestrian Killed While Trying To Cross Highway 153 Near Northgate; Vehicle Later Runs Into TDOT Truck

A pedestrian was killed while trying to cross Highway 153 near Northgate Mall on Saturday night.

The incident happened around 6:40 p.m. as police responded to a body in the middle of the road.

The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing.

Several hours after the incident, with the highway still closed for the traffic investigation, a car ran into a TDOT vehicle at the site.
