Grover Cleveland (G. C.) Frazier, Jr.
Grover Cleveland "G. C." Frazier, Jr., 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025.
Born in the Slygo-New England area of Dade County, Ga., G. C. was one of 13 children of Grover C. Frazier, Sr. and Lillie Mae Owens Frazier.
He graduated from County High School in Charleston, Tn., in 1944 and joined the U.S. Navy. G. C. afterwards held various job positions with local manufacturers and worked in carpentry. G. C. was also a 1956 graduate of the Dale Carnegie Training class. He enjoyed the guitar, piano, and harmonica for playing and singing gospel hymns.
G. C. is survived by one sister, Monnie Frazier Smith of Farber, Mo., and one brother, Patrick Frazier of East Ridge. He also had many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 3 p.m. in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time at the North Chapel. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
