Phyllis Sledge Russell
Phyllis Sledge Russell, 80, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at her home.
She retired from TVA, where she worked in Dosimetry. Phyllis loved her grandchildren and her cats. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and the Outer Banks. She was a member of the Church of Nativity Episcopal Church.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas and Flossie Griffey; mother, Virginia Rynax and her son, Dean McClendon.
Survivors are her children, Debbie Derryberry and Ginger Merritt (Ed); grandchildren, Elijah Derryberry (Erika), Seth Derryberry (Jes), Shea Hess, Sabrina Merritt and Holly Merritt; great grandchildren, Anniston Derryberry and Bailey Derryberry and extended family.
The family will have a private service.
