Chase Opens First Bank Branches In Chattanooga

  • Thursday, January 30, 2025

Chase bank is officially present across all of Tennessee’s major markets with the opening of its first Chattanooga retail branches.

The grand opening of Chase’s new branches at Hamilton Place (2120 Gunbarrel Road) and Northshore (306 Cherokee Blvd.) on Thursday bring the bank’s Tennessee retail footprint to about 30 branches and makes it official: Chase now has a statewide retail presence across all of Tennessee’s major markets.

“The grand opening of our first Chattanooga branches has been more than a decade in the making,” said Mark Cassara, market director for Chase Banking in Chattanooga. “We are here to serve all of Tennessee and are committed to helping more people make the most of their money and build a strong financial foundation, so they can reach their financial goals and dreams.”

JPMorganChase has had commercial banking offices in Chattanooga since 2012. Chase opened its first Chase branch in Tennessee five years ago in Nashville.

“Our new branches will allow us to be there for our customers and help meet their needs face-to-face during life’s biggest moments, like buying a car, a home, planning for kids’ education or planning for retirement,” said Viktor Kogan, Chase’s Northshore branch manager.

Chase is the first and only national bank to have branches in all lower 48 states. Every day, approximately 900,000 people walk into a Chase branch to cash a check, make a deposit or speak to an expert about a financial decision that could impact their lives.

“With Chase opening its first branches in Chattanooga, we’re not only investing in the financial health of our residents – we’re committed to the health and vitality of the entire community,” said Larry Murphy, Chase’s Hamilton Place branch manager. “Our doors are open and we look forward to helping more Chattanoogans make the most of their money.”

To celebrate Chase opening its doors to the community, on Thursday, the bank announced its $10,000 investment in Feeding the Future, a Chattanooga-based non-profit that provides meals for children facing food insecurity.

“One in six kids across the state of Tennessee doesn’t know where their next meal is coming from. Feeding the Future is doing amazing things to let no child go hungry,” said Brandon Abney, executive director of Commercial Banking at JPMorganChase. “Our new branch presence brings the full breadth of JPMorganChase’s resources to Chattanooga – including our commitment to the underserved residents that make up our city.”

Several of Chattanooga’s topic business leaders attended Chase’s grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremonies, including representatives from the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, LAUNCH Chattanooga and Feeding the Future.
