James “Jimbo” Frost
James “Jimbo” Frost, 69, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
He spent 40 years dedicated to his work at the Bailey Company, where he was known as a hard-working and dependable mechanic. Jimbo’s strong work ethic made him a cherished co-worker and mentor to many.
His love of Tennessee football was only rivaled by his love of spending time with his family, particularly during holiday gatherings. Whether it was Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mother’s Day, or any occasion to bring everyone together, Jimbo’s home was always filled with laughter, warmth, great food, and often several games of horseshoes.
He also enjoyed working on cars, a hobby he developed in his younger years and continued throughout his life. He had a unique gift for fixing and restoring automobiles.
Jimbo was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Frost, and niece, Renee Pemberton.
He is survived by his mother, Frankie Lockwood; siblings, Virginia Abney (Michael), Jeanne Hankins (Carl) and Rhonda Cochran (Marvin), as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 12, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home.
A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Zach Spalding officiating.
