Held Long Career As A Master Butcher

Jack Powell, left in the arms of our Savior Thursday evening to reunite with his precious son, Jay; along with his father, Charlie; mother, Jo Ann, sister, Stacy; and brother, Chuck.
From an early age Jack could be found diligently working at the family business “Charlie’s Meats.” After the family business was sold Jack continued his lifelong career as a master butcher with BI-LO to Food City where he retired.

It was a beautiful January day when Jack married the Love of his Life, Louise. They had many beautiful days together including the day God decided it was time for Jack to come home.

Jack leaves behind Louise, Son, Adam; Son, Dan (Lexi); Uncle Jackie; many cousins and friends to share precious memories with each other in the coming days.

A Celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m. central time at Kimball Church of Christ, 830 Main St., Kimball, Tn. 37347 with Minister Billy Watkins presiding.

Jack loved all creatures and his church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Jack’s memory and in honor of Bubba and Sissy, to Marion Animal Resource Connection (Marc) at 225 Sequatchie Lane, Sequatchie, TN 37374 or to Kimball Church of Christ.
