Erlanger Primary Care Hires Dr. Allan Akin

Erlanger Primary Care announces the addition of Allan Akin, MD to its team of Family Medicine providers. 

Dr. Akin grew up in West Tennessee and attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He then moved to Memphis, where he completed his master’s degree in pharmacology and later completed his medical degree and family medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine -Chattanooga. Dr. Akin’s specialty in Family Medicine includes providing comprehensive primary care for queer and gender-affirming hormone therapy patients.

“I am so pleased to join Erlanger Primary Care - Northshore.
I completed my medical residency at Erlanger and am so happy to be back practicing in the health system where I did my training,” said Dr. Akin. “I look forward to seeing new patients and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.”

Dr. Akin will provide his services at Erlanger Primary Care at 1200 Pineville Road in Chattanooga.
