It is with great sadness that the family of Ann Shields White announces her passing. Ann went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Born on April 3, 1931, in Rossville, she was the daughter of the late Tee Sr. and Johnnie Shields. A native of North Georgia, Ann spent 30 years in Florida before returning home to Ringgold in 1986. She was a member of Lakeview First Baptist Church, contributing her time at the Hope House and visiting those unable to attend services. Ann touched the lives of everyone she encountered and will be remembered as a kind, loving, caring, and beautiful soul. She enjoyed fishing, playing golf, gardening, cherished time spent cooking and baking with her grandchildren, and enjoyed devoting quality time with family and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Raymond Donald White; her son, Matthew White; her brothers Tee Shields Jr., Bobby Shields, Edward Shields, John Shields, and David Shields; and her sister, Ellen Shields Bivens.
Ann White will be loved and missed by her son, Don White; daughter-in-law, Marcia White; grandchildren, Waylon (Jennifer) White, Devona White, and Jessica Jackson; great-grandchildren Hailey Lowe, Shaelyn White, Adelyn White, Zayne Jackson, and Cameron Jackson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb. 9, from 2-3 p.m. at Lakeview First Baptist Church, 10 Hudson St., Rossville.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Ann White will take place following the visitation at 3 p.m. with Rev. Patrick Cooper officiating.
