Glenda Kay Wooden, age 80, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

Glenda was born in San Diego, CA, on December 18, 1944, the daughter of the late William Ralph Roberson and Ruth Helen Lowe Roberson. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, and going to the beach. Glenda was known for her homemade chocolate pies and banana pudding. She was a member of Gold Wing Riders Association Chapter V. Glenda loved her family above everything and will be remembered for her contagious laugh.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Serenity Bradford; and three siblings, Frankie Roberson, Carol Gray, and Michael Roberson.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Samuel “Henry” Wooden, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Linda Wooden; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Mickey DeVries; two grandchildren, Nikki Wooden and Jessica Burton; one great-granddaughter, Emily Jones; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Peggy Roberson; and a sister, Becky Roberson. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Heritage Funeral Home East Brainerd Chapel with Reverend Billy Denham officiating. Interment followed at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
