Milton Charles Welch, 80, of Chattanooga passed away on June 17, 2025.

He was born on Jan. 28, 1945, in Memphis to the late Winston F. and Margaret Matthews Welch. Milton graduated from UTC with a bachelor’s degree in education and taught for several years but chose a different career path which took him everywhere from selling life insurance to working as a pharmacy tech with Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Silverdale Baptist Church. Milton was active in his church with the Bridges Program as well as his small group.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his cousin, Jerry Hunt.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Kevin Welch and his wife, Katie, numerous friends from Silverdale Baptist and the Bridges Program, as well as his neighbors from Silverdale Senior Apts.

A graveside service for Milton will be held on Monday, June 23, at 11 a.m. in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South, 325 Greens Lake Road, Rossville, Ga. 30741.
