Kirk Hall Low, Jr.
Kirk Hall Low, Jr. died on March 21, 2025, at his home in Signal Mountain, Tennessee.
He was born to Emmy Louise Butikofer Low and Kirk Hall Low on December 2, 1948, in Tullahoma, Tn.
Kirk was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in Nashville. After high school, he attended Georgia Tech and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with degrees in Economics and Accounting. Kirk served as a Certified Public Accountant specializing in sales and use tax and personal property tax.
Kirk’s hobbies included traveling around the world, sailing, cycling, home repair, and reading. He served in the U.S. Army at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe and the communities in which he lived. An example of his recent contributions is the Loans to Neighbors program through St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. This program aims to be an alternative to high-interest payday loans.
He regularly attended church where he resided from Calvary United Methodist Church in Nashville to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Chattanooga, and most recently, St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Signal Mountain. A frequent acknowledgment of his was that he always received more than he contributed.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as his brother, Walter.
Kirk is survived by his daughter, Amy Williams (Andrew), and son, Joshua Low (Mary Yang). He also leaves behind his brother, David (Kim); granddaughters, Emory and Sophia Williams; and beloved nieces and nephews.
