Judith Ann Ford, 79, of Harrison, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Chattanooga and raised in Harrison, where she resided most of her life. It was her love of children which led her to 18 years of employment as a janitor at Snow Hill Elementary. “Miss Judy” was dearly loved by the kids and staff. She was affectionately known to her family as “Super Nanny” because of her strength and resilience throughout many illnesses and hospitalizations. Her jokes and sense of humor always put a smile on everyone’s face and even when she wasn’t feeling the best, her quick wit got everyone laughing. She loved being outdoors with nature and animals, and one of the things she enjoyed most was sitting in her chair under a shade tree. She was savage when it came to protecting her family, and we were blessed to have called her ours.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Mary McDaniel.

Judith is survived by her children, Jerimy Ford (Stephanie), Jeanie Boyd (Wiatt Wehunt) and Stacy Boyd (Tom Zutaut); grandchildren, Ashley Mitcho, Megan Wallin, Matthew Ford, Austin Ford, Kassi Shipley, Dakota Ford and Wyatt Ford; great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Copeland, Vladimir Wallin, Izelda Wallin, Salem Wallin (Foster), as well as one great-grandchild on the way.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 22, from 4–8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Danny Lance officiating.

Judith will be laid to rest in Maddux Cemetery in Harrison.
