Road Construction To Begin May 5 In Chickamauga Battlefield On Brotherton Road

Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park announces a construction contract has been awarded to rehabilitate Brotherton and Glenn-Viniard Roads in Chickamauga Battlefield. The roads will be closed sequentially, with no more than one road being closed at a time.

Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, with the closure of Brotherton Road, between Alexander Bridge and LaFayette Roads. During the closures, all public traffic, including motorists, equestrians, pedestrians and bicyclists, is prohibited from using the closed sections. All work is scheduled to be complete by Oct. 30.
